Great Bear Rainforest

In June 2012, Allan was one of the invited artists that visited the Great Bear Rainforest on the central coast of BC. The trip was sponsored by the Raincoast Conservation Foundation to raise awareness of the dramatic beauty and ecological diversity of the area, now under threat by proposed oil tanker activity. Not only is this area home to Grizzly Bears, Black Bears and numerous other species of wildlife, it is the only place in the world where Spirit (Kermode) Bears exist. Along with Humpback Whales and an abundance of marine life, this area is stunningly beautiful and definitely worth protecting.
